financial support for competitive athletes

Competitive Athlete Program

The Alberta Cerebral Palsy Sports Association will lend financial support to competitive athletes with Cerebral Palsy, or other related conditions, from Alberta. To apply for funding, athletes must be a competitive athlete member of ACPSA. For more information on how to be a member please see Membership. 

Applications for the 2025 season is now OPEN!

Support is for IN-PROVINCE events only. Athletes needing financial assistance will complete the CAP application, where they will submit their planned events/expected budget for 2025 (up to 3 events).
Once deadline passes, ACPSA will review applications and will notify athletes of total amount available to be reimbursed.
PLEASE NOTE: Athletes are expected to cover their own expenses, ACPSA will only reimburse the athlete after the events.

* If financial assistance prior to event is crucial for attendance, please contact us. Some cases may be accepted.

Eligible Expenses:

Travel expenses (flights, bus tickets, gas)
- Accommodations
- Registration
