ACPSA loses an Athlete, Employee and Ambassador
Cyla Schoneck, athlete and sport coordinator, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019. Even though the past year was really difficult for Cyla, she maintained a positive, forward looking attitude, continued working for us (even in ICU at her insistence!), showed up to practice when her health permitted and took a dream trip to the west coast of California. Her sister made a specific point of letting us know about her passing as she knew ACPSA was a very big part of her life. Cyla worked with us right up until last week, posting and working on materials while in hospital. She was a dedicated employee and athlete who grew personally and athletically by leaps and bounds since becoming a member of ACPSA. She took every opportunity to learn and grow seriously. Her presence made a big impact and we will miss her dearly. We will continue to post any details related to a memorial as they become available, and will plan to host a gathering to celebrate Cyla’s impact for some time in August.
