Exercise-based Games for Children with CP

Hello,

I hope all is well. I am part of a team with Dr. Darcy Fehlings (Neurologist at University of Toronto) and Dr. Nick Graham (Computer Scientist at Queen's University) from Ontario, Canada. We have developed exercise-based video games called Liberi for children with cerebral palsy (CP). The aim is to make exercise fun for kids to stimulate physical activity as well as to enhance their socialization by playing these games online with their peers.

We are hoping to make the games available to parents of kids with CP but we need to understand the needs and expectations of the families to do this. We have created an online survey to share with families in the hopes of gathering such information (more info. on Liberi and the survey at the bottom).

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Flora Nasri, MSc (Neuroscience, University of Toronto)

Introduction to the Liberi Exergame Market Survey:

This survey will be collecting information from the parents of children with cerebral palsy to help us understand the most effective way to try and bring these games to the public. We will be gathering your thoughts and opinions in order to inform us about your children’s exercise habits, the kinds of exercise equipment you own, your desires for the Liberi Exergame system, perceived acceptable pricing for the system and basic demographic information. The survey should take approximately 20 - 30 min to complete and can only be completed once. Please be assured that all your answers will be confidential.
